ABOUT STRIKE FOAM™
Strike Foam™ is a proprietary foaming agent used by the FiFi4 system to suppress lithium-ion battery fires at the source. It is engineered to support rapid heat reduction and help prevent cell to cell propagation when applied directly to the involved battery hazard.
Strike Foam is the suppression media used within the FiFi4 fire suppression system. Strike Foam is the foaming agent, not the detection system, not the control system, and not the delivery hardware.
HOW IT WORKS
Strike Foam is designed to collapse on superheated surfaces and overcome the Leidenfrost effect that can reduce cooling efficiency on extremely hot surfaces. Strike Foam is also engineered to contribution to localized oxygen displacement at the hazard surface to support suppression at the source of thermal runaway.
Performance outcomes depend on correct detection, actuation, and agent delivery design. The FiFi4 system provides the detection, control, and delivery architecture that deploys Strike Foam to the target hazard.
